Frequently asked questions

If your question is not here, just give us a call.

How long does an Iroko memorial last?

Iroko is a naturally durable hardwood. Our memorials are built to last 50+ years untreated, and each is protected with Sikkens HLS and Filter 7 marine-grade varnish.

How do I look after it?

A gentle wash with water now and then keeps it looking its best. Over time you may want the finish refreshed or re-oiled to keep the colour rich. Contact us and we can advise on what suits your memorial.

Are wooden memorials allowed in my cemetery?

Rules vary between cemeteries and councils, including sizes and materials. Please check with the cemetery or council before ordering. We are happy to help with any details they need.

Can a wooden marker be used while a grave settles?

Yes. A cross or stake marker is often used as a temporary marker until a permanent memorial can be placed, and many families keep it afterwards.

Do you make pet memorials?

Yes, smaller plaques and markers for pets are available on request.

Will I see the design before it is made?

Yes. We send a proof for you to approve before we start making.

Where are you based?

67d Upper Braniel Rd, Belfast BT5 7TX. We can deliver or fit memorials.
